This tutorial will give you step by step instructions on how to install Mainland Chinese Mabinogi with English UI. step 1:download the Mainland Chinese Mabinogi client here:

UNLESS YOU WANT TO INSTALL YOUR NA CLIENT AGAIN.
step 2:Download the "Chinese to English Translation Pack":http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=491687&uk=2198124423or

Asterio_Public_Pack_CN_to_EN.pack (2053 K) 下载次数:17 NOTE: this think requires forum login. step 3:use programs like 7-zip to open the setup.
e.g: load cn_mabinogi_setup_178.exe with 7-zip.
you will see something like this:
step 4:Select all the files, copy and paste them to a directory where you want your CN mabinogi client to be.
e.g: copy and paste into C:/Nexon/CN_MABINOGI
step 5:Once you have done it, copy and paste the
"Chinese to English Translation Pack(Asterio_Public_Pack_CN_to_EN.pack
)" to the Package folder located within your Chinese Mabinogi directory.
e.g: copy and paste to C:/Nexon/CN_MABINOGI/package
step 6(IMPORTANT): Right click on the
"Chinese to English Translation Pack(Asterio_Public_Pack_CN_to_EN.pack
)" and select property, then tick the
READ-ONLY box, and apply.
One thing I Forgot to mention on step 6 during my video:
You actually have to change the properties for all the files within the package folder to READ-ONLY.
Otherwise your file will be deleted automatically. NOTE: Error message will appear when you start the game if this box is not ticked. step 6.5: It is recommended to do this step.
Go to your Control Panel => region and language => Administrative => change system locale => choose Chinese simplified.
This will allow your system to be able to display Chinese correctly.
step 7:Go back to your Chinese mabinogi Game directory and run Mabinogi.exe.
you should see something like this:
This is the mabinogi launcher.
step 8:Make sure you selected “玛丽”(located top left) on the mabinogi launcher, as this will be the server that you will play on during your stay on the Mainland Chinese Mabinogi.
Then click "PATCH START" button on the bottom right of the mabinogi launcher, wait until the update check finishes.
step 8.5: please ignore this step if you haven't encounter any error message.If you encountered an error message involving the word "FTP", like this:
then please download this patch:
http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=501602&uk=2198124423upzip it to the root folder of your CN mabinogi , replace all the files.
e.g: upzip to C:/Nexon/CN_MABINOGI/ , click yes to all when it asks you for permission to replace.
If you encountered any other error message, one possibilities is that you forgot to make all the files in the package folder READ-ONLY, so the updater actually deleted your files.
If you are sure that you did make all these files READ-ONLY, and still receive error messages... then please contact me...
step 9: Finally, as the update check finishes. you can click on the "GAME START" button to start the game.
